I’ve always been an advocate of using web videos for business marketing and promotion. A lot of my colleagues however, just don’t understand this. They either opt to use aggressive old school marketing or lean heavily on social media. What they don’t know is that videos are able to incorporate elements of traditional and new marketing strategies. Here are my three reasons why online videos for business rock and why you should consider making some of your own.

Although text will never go out of style, we only have to look at our own personal experience to understand why we sometimes prefer videos over reading blocks of text. In a lot of cases, videos are just easier on the eyes. Even adults respond more to the display of colors, movement and audio. If you put your business message in a creative and visually attractive video, you’re bound to get more people to act on your message.
2. Ease of Message Delivery
Videos make it easier for you to convey your message. Not only is it faster and more convenient for you to tell people who you are, what you do and how you can help them; it’s also the best way to prevent sending the wrong message. Text just doesn’t carry the right tones or emotions you’d like to convey. There’s no mistaking what you mean though when you’re actually in front of your audience talking.
3. Low Hanging Fruit
Perhaps the best reason to jump into online videos now is that it is the lowest hanging fruit when it comes to marketing strategy. Not that many people or companies are falling head over heals over it yet. That simply means there’s less competition for you to contend with. You have a far better chance of succeeding at this now than if you waited for it to take off and become the next big strategy.
